walking through this gate was so exiting, as I remember from History Athur Balfore walking through it in 1917 and declared that the Jews should have their own homeland.

Place with a lot of hustle bustle of tourist guides in the morning replaced with food vendors at night.If one is coming to Jerusalem you are bound to pass by this gate.Chain street also ends here.

The main entrance into the Old City. This is where it all begins. The best place to go in. The fun and excitement starts here. Also King Davis tomb is right here.

Interesting history. Don't just look at it but either research or get a guide to explain why the gate takes a perpendicular bend.

whenever i come to jerusalem i start my tour in the old city here/ it is the center for everithing and easy to park.

if you look you will see big divots from the rifle fire when the city was under attack. the stone work and craftsmanship is amazing.
