This is underground so it is cool, both in temperature and atmosphere. There are many stores, some with typical souvenirs at a higher price than other locations, and others with very nice artwork. As with almost everywhere in Israel, the sales are high-pressured and the...More

The Cardo follows the ancient main north-south street of Roman and later Byzantine Jerusalem. It was a colonnaded street lined with shops. The present Cardo is also lined with shops, but it is now well above the level of the original street. Part of the...More

Just an awesome place to walk through. For us, coming from the West, it is a totally different experience. Was fun and fascinating.

Worthwhile if you are in the centre of the Old City of Jerusalem. Only takes 5 minutes to walk through.

Jewish quarter where it is considered Main Street. Plenty to see and witness. People. Restaurants. Praying. Quite the place.

They wash down the stone walkways every morning to maintain a clean atmosphere. The shops are also well maintained (although maybe over stuffed with goods for sale). There is also a variety of shops with unique goods.

We loved the Cardo with its wonderful Art Galleries, assorted Judaica and jewellery shops and amazing architecture. Certainly was filled with tourists from all over the world.

The Cardo contains Roman columns and a large mosaic wall, is in the Old City Jewish Quarter and definitely worth a stop for photographs. Right above it is a store called Weaving Creations which has a great selection of handmade tallit. Our granddaughter’s came from...More

I didn't see that kind of Shofar. Sounds nice. There are very nice paintings for sale in the Cardo too. If you are in Jerusalem now, then go for a good walk around and ask the shop keepers. Or google it as mentioned before.
