The bridge takes you across a section of the Panama Canal. Due to Security fencing and bridge construction, it was difficult yo take pictures from a moving vehicle. The view was okay and you could see a good ways from the bridge.

This is a neat bridge. When it is high traffic they will switch a lane to have extra lanes going in the direction that the high traffic is going in.

On the pan American highway. Spanning the Panama Canal. Visible from the Pacific Ocean outside Panama City harbor. Connection between North and South America. Pretty impressive.

Its a beautiful view on a nice day. Go by car and if you want stop at the Chinese monument on the other side of the bridge to get a few nice pics.

...I am told, it connects North to South. Worth crossing, looking at the Canal, and worth a cycle round if you have one, they’ve got a lane reserved just for you!

Nice photo op of this bridge that connects the North and South American continents. Five minutes and a few pics. Easy 5-minute ride from the city center between 10am-4pm, do not visit during rush hours!

The "Puente de las Americas" was built to connect Panama's East and West over the Panama Canal. Built in 1914 by the Army Core of Engineers. An excellent view of the Port of Balboa, Amador and passing ships.

Not much to review. It is really tall to allow the ship trafficking and replaces a swing bridge, i believe.

It’s a very nice bridge. Thankfully my car stayed in it and did not fall to the canal or bay below me. I prefer bridges that keep me and my car dry. You should too. I was happy that while staying dry I could see...More
