Very beautiful plaza. All kinds of shops and food vendors (including a Wendy’s) along the perimeter. Other vendors have push carts. But the vendors, in local garb, are relentless. They hound you even after you tell them no. Very annoying. Takes away from the plaza.

Wife, grand daughter enjoyed sitting on a bench watching all of the people and activities. Had an excellent show shine for practically nothing and because of my large tip, a number of others wanted to give me a second shoe shine

Was here 10 years ago and this park has really changed. Still just as clean and beautiful, but much better. The best time to go is during the week as there are fewer people.

Great place to stroll, relax and take some nice photos. There are many vendors but they are polite and do not pressure too much. Don’t miss the cathedral.

When in Antigua, do as the locals do. Central Park is a mix of locals and tourist alike. Bustling with the people late afternoon, stop by around sundown when locals much like tourist take breaks to spend time with their families. The place is teeming...More

Go back in time to a small town that appears as it did hundreds of years ago. Central Park is perfect for just relaxing and people watching.

Antigua’s Central Park is a very nice place to chill while in Antigua. Many people selling things and nice trees all over the place. There are some seats available to have a rest and enjoy the views of Antigua from the Park. The Palace is...More

You'll find that most places in Central America will take U.S. currency but you will most likely get a better conversion rate if you have the countries local currency ( Guatemala Quetzal)
