this place is amazing. a hot springs river with waterfalls set amongst the jungle. and free yet within minutes of the fancy places. to top it all we saw a monkey swinging high in the canopy. seems very natural.

Beautiful natural hot springs that weren't too hot. There was a cool spring that flowed into it too if you want something refreshing. Park just past the Tabacon hot springs Resort. You will see other cars pulled over on the shoulder. Pay guy 3000 colones...More

My hotel offered free transport to the river for a 2 hour soak. many pools to hang out in, with or without waterfalls.Don't bring anything other than towel, things have a way of disappearing here.

There is a lot to do in this area. There are the Hanging Bridges, Coffee and chocolate tours, hiking in Arenal National Park,any thermal spas, horseback riding, boating on Lake Arenal, the Cloud Forest. So much!
