Relatively small site but with important and impressive stelles. Visit the small museum at the entrance behind the shops. It gives you an idea of how the site was found and how the stelles used to look like

These ruins are off the beaten track but are well worth a visit if only to see the large stones. The site is compact and easy to get around.

Definitely worth the visit. The stelae are amazing. The whole area is open to the sun, and surrounded by some of the world's largest trees. Make sure to climb up the stairs to the "agora" which is beyond the stelae area. The jade museum is...More

Next to Copan this is the other place to see some great carvings if that is what you are after. Of course history of Quirigua is intertwined with Copan, Their carvings and Steilas are too. I really enjoyed my visit and I recommend going here...More

I think cruise ship will leave u in livingston so take a boat to Puerto barrios and from there a bus to Quirigua . Be very careful with the the time schedule it takes really long time to go and go back

Actually I organized my journey to Quirigua by myself. From Livingston boat then bus then tuk tuk, it s not considerare in planned Tours BUT REALLY WORTH A VISIT!!!!!! It u want more details ask me
