What a delightful place! Beautifully laid out and full of interesting plants, trees and shrubs. A damp autumn day but this did not spoil our walk. Great views from the look out point. Didn't spot any red squirrels but I am told . Relatively easy...More

Just had our first visit here although been in the area a while. Took my 91 year old mum with us but had the brilliant idea of booking the buggy beforehand as knew there’d be some climbs. What a trip! The rain was lashing from...More

Unfortunately this is not a late summer garden as there was almost nothing in flower anywhere, except a few around the small pond. Spring should be lovely. Really just trees and ferns to be seen at this time of year. Enjoyable walk around and the...More

Absolutely loved everything about Benmore Gardens - very friendly staff, well laid out trails, interesting plants and buildings to visit, plenty of maps and info boards. It's so big although the car park was nearly full hardly saw a soul. Do not miss this if...More

Thanks to the staff at the cafe and the ranger that guided us through the Gardens, it became the highlight of our Scotland trip! I actually lost my wallet during the bus ride to Benmore. The manager helped me to contact the bus station, offer...More

Beautifully kept gardens and as the weather in Dunoon (middle of August!) was pretty much constant rain, it probably made these gardens even more beautiful! The lady at the till was very informative and told us the best route to take around the gardens with...More

Didn't realise that these gardens were so big. Took my teenage children and they had a lovely time too. So peaceful and so much to see. Reasonable entry fee too.

We visited here whilst in the area on holiday. Unfortunately the weather was extremely wet. The entry fee is very reasonable and we were shown the map of the gardens, with a brief explanation given as to the best route to take around, dependant on...More

Yes, but keep on a lead. One of the beauties of Benmore is that there are many rugged, hilly areas that may prove demanding. On the plus side, you can take all day at your own pace!

Hi Yes, as long as you keep on the main paths. There are also lots of resting places even for the fittest walker.
