We have been many times and never tire of the experience. The village is a delight and is being improved around the Abbey. If you possibly can go there for vespers in the evening, you will not fail but be impressed by the simple sincerity...More

Unlike many "abbayes" in France, this one has real live Benedictine monks. If you're Catholic, you might appreciate attending sung Mass here. The remaining buildings are impressive but not particularly attractive.

Very small, charming town with a beautiful Abbey and a lovely crepe restaurant. It was a great, quick trip from Haye du Theil

Roadworks outside creating dust and noise . Abbey is large but pretty forbiding/foreboding . No signed entrances , so brief walk around the outside . It's a working Abbey so expect to see nuns and monks .

Although the abbey is interesting from a historical point of view, the village surrounding the abbey was a big surprise, we loved the historical house styles!

Very much worth a visit - peaceful and calming. It's a working abbey and you can join a service if you wish, or just enjoy the site.

A charming visit for a day trip from Paris & blast-back in history, coupled with lunch in the village. It's definitely a postcard experience.
