It's a good drive outside the growing city of Benxi but is definitely worth seeing. Part of a big tourist attraction containing gardens, beautiful walks and a lake. After we finished the visit we drove for another 1/2 hour or so to the Benxi waterfalls

About an hour outside of Shenyang, we arrive at Benxi in the late winter. There is still a dusting of snow over much of the surrounding area and a good covering still on the ground in the parkland around the caves, which served to make...More
