We visited Japan in April 2017. While we were putting our itinerary together, before the trip, we decided to visit a Toyota factory and museum. We decided to make a day of it and train our way up to the Toyota headquarters at Mikawa Toyota. We absolutely love the diverse train network in Japan and use them whenever we can.... More

Toyota has been behind some incredible innovation, and taking this tour verified how impressive their current offerings and ideas are. The robot playing the scheduled violin performance was a sight to see!

We plan a trip to join their plant visit. It was very nice to see how they production works. They are very strict about no photo taking during the plant visit, but you can have take photo in the museum visit.

The Toyota Kaikan museum was one of my favourite attractions in Japan and is free to visit. Here you get to see the latest Toyota vehicles on display, learn about the history of the company, see the latest vehicle technology and participate in interactive experiences such as a driving simulator and the “Winglet” Segway vehicle. Souvenirs are available and there... More

We came from Tokyo early in the morning on the first Shinkansen to Nagoya... We travelled to Okazaki station then changed trains for Milawa Toyota Station...Allow at least 1 1/2 hours from Nagoya... Than taxi to museum...Less than ¥1000 We were greeted on arrival and told to view the museum at our own pace and meet back at the meeting... More

An easy walk from Nagoya station, the museum is divided into two halves and details the emergence of the Toyoda knitting mills into the Toyota Corporation of today. The first section deals with the fabric knitting machines. These machines still work and the museum staff will operate them if you wish. They knitted some cloth for us and gave us... More

Very comprehensive tour of one of their plants. Maybe it was off-peak season but we were able to book online just a week in advance. Lovely, friendly guide. Ditto everything that yellowjohn said below. My son who is a car fanatic loved the tour but the rest of us enjoyed it too. My engineer husband appreciated some of the engineering... More
