The surrounding was nice but it is closed in winter. This is not exactly clear from the information we searched. Will visit another time.

The title says it all ! You can still peek at it from a log house situated on top of stairs but it's not worth it. It looks like a cool trail to walk on though. The bridge was also close because of the snow. We might go back again in spring.

I haven't entered any canyon for seeing the waterfalls before. Therefore, it was a nice experience to feel it. The waterfalls is close to you and you just need to be careful when walking. When visiting here, you will feel the amazing artworks that the natural brings.

We were suppose to go to Oze National Park, but the park rangers didn't allow any unauthorized cars to go there due to bad weather, being bummed out, on our way back to the freeway, my sister found this place on the internet and thought we should salvage the trip by going here. Wow was it a trip. It's a... More

One of must see falls in Japan. It will take 2.5 hours from Tokyo by car. 3+ hours by public transportation. There is a hiking trail around the fall. It will take about an hour. When you go trail in the early morning or evening, be aware of live bear. Hit the bell along the trail.

We were likely to be sucked into the mouth of waterfall! It has a great impact and force. The way to the waterfall, there are a lot of souvenir shops. We could enjoy both of them and sight-seeing.

We've got to know about this place 3 years ago and are ine of the place that we want to visit. While staying at Takasaki, we found out from the tourist info. centre that it was 45 minutes away by train and 45 minutes by bus. We quickly changed our plans and bought the tickets. The whole train journey to... More

It was late October and the autumn colours on the mountain slopes complimented the quite unique waterfall very well. In the morning,at Minakami , we took a train to Numata. Right outside the station was the bus-stop where the bus bound for the fukiware falls came punctually. The bus journey took about 40 mins passing through the town and residential... More

Took the local municipal bus from Oshimizu just outside Oze National Park after walking through that park. Got off the bus at the falls and walked around for about 1.5 hours. Very nice and well laid out with maps and paved pathways along the numerous paths around the falls. Of course, just outside the falls area along the main street... More

Still remarkably under-promoted. Our second visit here but some parts have now been closed off for safety reasons. Still, an impressive and unusual waterfall system. The water level was rather low compared with a spring visit. You can get higher-elevation photo shots from the bridge slightly upstream (return via main road first) and also from the path near the soba... More
