Huge wasabi farm where you can take a stroll... or even a boat trip... plentiful of wasabi related food items and souvenirs. Tried the wasabi soft serve ice cream.. not really strong in flavor. My friends tried the apple soft serve and that was good.

The farm itself was beautiful with clear water running through the plots. There were many interesting wasabi products to try out at the stalls too, e.g. wasabi beer, soft serve, sausage... worth a 1 - 2hr visit if you intend to eat something there...

there are a few companies near the station who will rent you a bike for a few USD/hour, no booking required.

Taxis sit in front of Hotaka Station. When we were there, the information office at Daio were very happy to call a taxi to come and pick us up to get back to the station. Just a 15-minute wait but make sure you time it... More
