The Kinosaki Marine World is an aquarium united with nature where the Japanese sea view unfolds before your eyes. Not only can you enjoy the sea beings in each area, you can also enjoy many exciting shows. Also you can hold sea urchins, starfish etc in your palm and you can take a walk with the penguins. It's an amazing experience. Our specialty is our Dolphin and Seal show which changes every year. It's a must see ! Many animals appear as well as dolphins and sealions at the show stadium where the Japan Sea spreads through in the background. Moreover, through the 5cm thick glass and Tube area you can observe various other sea beings.Unique experiences are awaiting you. See you soon!

We did not have high expectation of this facility as it is located in the countryside, on the coast of the Sea of Japan. We had not been to Osaka Kaiyukan yet but the onsen staff had told us that the Kaiyukan is way bigger and nicer. We visited Kaiyukan the day after we returned to Osaka, and found that... More

The Marine world is nice, though the natural scenery is even better. We went during the week in the late afternoon and it was quiet.

I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed Kinosaki Marine World as it was quite hidden away and I did not really have high expectations; however, by the end of the visit I walked away pleasantly surprised with how well the sea life and sea mammals were treated, how professional the trainers were, and how many exhibits and shows... My wife and I went there on Sunday with our 1 year old son and 5 years old nephew. I shall start this review by warning that no credit card payment is accepted and the nearest ATM is nowhere near. It came as a surprise for such a place at this price range. Be warned as well that we didn't... More

If you’re in Kinosaki, this is a great way to spend a couple of hours. The aquarium is nice and modern with a good variety of fish, but the real attraction is the animal shows they put on. The trainers do a great job with the shows, and if you have little kids they will absolutely love it. Seeing the... More

We spent a few days at Kinosaki and decided to spend an afternoon at Marine World and we weren't disappointed. We rented bikes from the rental place by the train station and rode along the riverside to get there in an hour or so.The location is absolutely beautiful with crashing waves and a ragged coastline. The facility is much better... More

Great animal shows! I don't speak Japanese, but I really enjoyed the animal demonstrations at marine world. Several shows are offered during the day-I saw the main show in the stadium (great) and also a sea lion show (in the sea lion exhibit). The aquarium is very nice, well maintained. There is not a huge variety of fish (compared to... More

Spent a few hours here. First there was a penguin parade, a walrus show and then the diving seals. You could pat a dolphin, or fish for your lunch. We paid 650yen and got a small rod and bait. It is really easy to catch fish, just drop the rod and bingo, there is one on the end of the... More

We had one and a half days in Kinosaki and decided to visit Marine World in between all the onsen visits. We easily spent about three hours there, it's large and well-kept, and quite impressive considering how out of the way it seems. Especially enjoyed the big seal and dolphin show, and the massive and very well trained walruses. We... More

We took a bus to the Marine World expecting a terrible, ran down and small facility due to the nature of Kinosaki. We entered and saw that the facility was gigantic and well-maintained. We saw all the animals and we were amazed by the walruses they kept there. Besides the fact that they we kept in quite a small enclosure,... More
