Fascinating!

Enjoyed this place with so much fun animation history dedicated to Osamu Tezuka. I'm glad I got to go with a group of locals who helped with translation!

After ten minutes walk from Takaraduka Station, the end of Hankyu Takaraduka Railway Line, we can find a colorful tower of The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum. A big figure of Phoenix, one of the manga characters created by Tezuka, welcomes us. We also find many handprints and footprints of manga characters on the pavement in front of the Museum, like... If you want to see Astroboy and Ultraman you have to pay 700¥ for it. Its a 1500 steps walk from the train station. They have free stamps where you can put on a pad as souvenir.

This Museum gives you a 20+ years rollback you will be able to see his life and some of his items like his glasses, some storyboards, etc... Upstairs, there's a temporary exhibition that is based on Tezuka's works the only bad point is that noone talks english, only japanese and it could be a little far from the main towns

The entire museum is dedicated to Osamu Tezuka, "the god of manga" and they've added a lot of decorations and architecture for his various works. So, even without English signs (though we got a little folder with a floor plan) there's things to look at all over. There is a little cinema that shows short movies about once every twenty... More

If you are very fond of manga, the museum is worth a detour, otherwise not. Especially harms the confrontation with the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka. Anyway, it is at walking distance from Takarazuka railways stations (both JR and Kintetsu).

about an hour away from the centre of tokyo, but worth the trip - a great tribute to the man that created astro boy and kimba the white lion. Most things were in japanese, but it really didn't matter, the pictures were enough :)

This is a great little museum celebrating the work of Osamu Tezuka and is just outside Osaka. This is spread over 2 floors and while it is in Japanese lover of Astro Boy will not really care.
