A day trip from Oita by train took me to Nakatsu to see the castle, I hadn't expected to find so much too see. It has some interesting temples and historical sites as well. The local Karage, Sushi and Sashimi are worth trying, simply tasty .

The story behind the temple wall is fascinating, but had I not been with friends who could recite the story, I`m not so sure I would have enjoyed this sight. It`s red walls certainly are unique!
