The winter time in Yuhu is very cold. Even the locals say so. Streets are long enough for us to look around. There are so many survenior shops, eating places and restaurants and so on. The main street from the station is a bit far...More

We did some souvenir and snacks shopping at Yufuin Area after having spent the night at an onsen here. There are quite a fair bit of interesting shops selling different things from delicacies, souvenirs to antiques and art items. It's also nice to sit in...More

This is an interesting stretch with various speciality shops and interesting food kiosks. Worth a stroll. Everything looks so yummy here!

Lots of souvenir shops and quiet cafes to relax. There is also a horse cart ride near the train station but it ends by 4pm so don't miss it.

Look... if you're coming to Yufuin it should be for one thing and one thing only: the onsen. If people recommend that you visit Yufuin because of the adorable collection of boutique-esque mini-stores then you'll be disappointed. Nevertheless, if you ARE here for the onsen,...More

Best dessert area ever. Full of dessert shops such as B-speak, Milch and coffee shops. Everyone have to come here for once and eat them all!!!

I honestly don't understand the buzz about Yufuin. It's fine if you are headed to an onsen but the town itself is nothing but a collection of trinket shops and food vendors. We had stayed at a ryokan nearby and visited Yufuin only because we...More

both are great visits. Yufuin specialises in hot spring and more tourism developed. Beppu is a seaside town and has hot spring also, though not specialised in this. depends on your preference!

local Japanese in Yufuin are friendly, suggest you to ask even if there is no locker available or suite your big luggage. Alternatively, there is an intercity bus stop just a couple of minutes walk in front of the JR... More
