More
Ryukyu Glass Village (Craft) is the largest glass factory in Okinawa, established in 1985. Our glassware is 100% handmade with vivid colors and various shapes like picturing the nature of Okinawa, specializing in blown & cased glass, created by skilled craftsmen. We have a workshop, a glass shop(Tax-free Shop), an outlet shop, a museum(Tax-free Shop) and a restaurant. At our workshop, we also have glass making experience classes. So you can join and make the only glass in the world.

My husband and I went there to look at some of their glass products. They do have classes where you can prebook to make your own glass but the website said to pick up in 3 days, so we didn't bother. We looked around trying...More

This was by far our favorite stop during our Okinawa trip! Watching the glass blowing was incredible, and I would have loved to try it myself (but we had two small children with us, so it wasn't possible). The shop is filled with amazing works...More

This is the 2nd to the last itinerary of our tour - we were treated to the actual glass blowing skills of the masters. Very impressive to see how they create works of art!

The drive can be long but it's always worth the trip upon arrival. There are four main sections to this glass campus: the area where glass is blown; the main gift shop with restaurant on the second level; an outlet store; and the artisan's gallery....More

It's amazing to watch the factory craftsmen use long metal pipes to blow and shape the vases, cups and bowls. Don't forget to visit the Restaurant upstairs!!
