This is the park to beat when it comes to experiencing peace and tranquility in Kansai. The Expo '70 park is not crowded, there are hardly any tourists, and it caters to all four seasons so you can expect beautiful foliage all year 'round. When we went last week, the momiji was in full swing. Beautiful red and yellow leaves... More

We walked through the most of the west side of the Park and the Japanese Garden on the first day of December (Thursday, very few people). It is an enjoyable piece of Nature almost in the middle of Osaka...

Entrance is 250yen which I would say is great value for money! The park is huge and you probably need a full day if you want to explore everything, but I think half a day is enough to visit the main areas (for this time of the year) eg the maple area. Took the sightseeing train (extra 300yen, buy tickets... More

Due to drizzly weather there were very few visitors the day we visited which made our walks through the grounds very peaceful. Bought some food to feed the ducks, fish and terrapins in the lake, had coffee and cake in the tea house where we were the only customers after which walked to the bamboo forest.

I visited Bampaku Park on a sweltering afternoon in late September. It was lovely but my energy gave out far too early and I left without making much of a dent. I enjoyed the modern art sculpture and the pathways near the Tower of the Sun. My daughter lives in Osaka and has visited the park often and says it... More

This park is huge and spacious. We spent a couple of hours exploring the entire park. I love the relaxed landscape and nature - seasonal flowers, trees, green and pond as we leisurely stroll the area. Not to be missed is the Japanese garden, depicting Japanese landscapes of different periods. Though it is a bit out of the city central,... More

The park is accessible by taking monorail from Senri-chuo Station. Need to purchase entrance ticket with 250 yen per person which is worth for the price. Cherry trees are in full bloom and lots of locals enjoy their picnic under the trees. By the time we visit the park, there are some vendors selling fruits and vegetables, food and beverages.... This park i huge and it has a lot of flowers if that's your thing. It's a nice break from the bustling city. If you get hungry there is a shopping mall just by the station called Expo City.

We really enjoyed this park and felt it was worth the price of admission as well as the transportation to get there. The cherry trees were in full bloom and that was certainly the highlight. There were a number of vendors selling food and crafts. Although festive, the atmosphere was much more sedate than in the other large parks we... More
