The bridge is located in Iya valley and it is built with wood and wires. It costs ¥550/person to cross the bridge. The gaps between the steps are wide and it is a scary feeling to cross it, especially on a rainy or snowy day....More

This bridge is worth a look if you are not able to travel the additional 30 km to the two "husband and wife" bridges at Higashi Iya. The surrounding area is over-developed with a large car park and shop, but the bridge itself is pretty.

In my opinion, the bridge was neither so special nor very excited to cross over. Of course, it has its historical value that could be a good traveler’s attraction.

The bridge is really cool and beautiful, but it is definitely a little bit scary to cross. The slats you walk across are kind of far apart so you'll definitely want to watch your step.

It's one of the 3 extraordinary bridges in Japan. The spaces between the steps made it really exciting to walk across the bridge. It's one-way crossing only. Definitely worth visiting!
