A nice place to take the family
Dec 2018 • Couples
I was visiting the area with my mom and since she loves animals, we went there.
It is easy to find using Google maps or the GPS.
As you exit the road, remain on the left side, passing the parking lot.
At the gates, you will be greeted and charged by entering with the car and for the amount of occupants. They also rent a tablet that will guide you through the ride.
It took us about 35-40 min to complete the ride.
I’ve been to Africa several times and therefore I could not be impressed with this place, but my mother just loved it.
At the end, there is an area for interaction with animals such as the giraffes, the red pandas, and an opportunity to feed goats, Kangaroos and wallabies - yes, they do have the Australian fauna there!
Really enjoyable. Kids would love it.

Get in a cage with lions, elephants and bears.

We didn't really know what to expect because we couldn't find much information that was English. We drove to the safari park and a very helpful young lady handed us a tablet. You could select which language you wanted the tour in. The tablet then tracks where you are in the safari park and tells you about the animals that you see along the way. Super handy because you can take as much time as you want, the tablet sticks to your pace.

At the end they have a petting zoo park with tons of different animals that you can feed, including giraffes(!). You can hold bunnies, hedgehogs, guinea pigs and feed them as well.

The facilities are great, super clean and well maintained.

Overall this is such a fun day outing!

Good day out in Yamaguchi

The weather was very hot when we visited which is maybe why there were not many people. The Safari bus was fun. We could feed animals including tigers. After that we were dropped off and free to roam around the less dangerous animals like kangaroos, geese etc. It's possible to feed most of them. Highlight was the elephant. The only thing i disliked about the Safari park was the tiny enclosure for the white tigers and lions. Depressing to look at them! There is also a small amusement park with the usual rides. It's fairly decrepit looking and it worked out very expensive as you have to pay for each ride individually. Our kid (9 yrs) enjoyed it.

I visited park in March, it was totally unused. There were no more than 30 people in the entire park. Visitors can feed or pet animals from elephant, kangaroo to hedgehogs. They also have a white tigers.

Feed Lions, Tigers, and Wild Hawks
Apr 2017 • Family
Zoos are fun, but can be depressing, because I feel guilty and sad for animals trapped in small cages. But this one is different. I was in a cage!

Animals roam free in this Safari, and they look happy, and little bit too happy and lazy. It is similar to San Diego Safari (Escondido), but it seemed bigger and more exciting. If you take a bus tour, you can also come back with your own car for free. Take the bus tour first, feed lions, tigers, and you will lose a few pieces of meat to Wild Hawks, which are a lot more fit than those lazy kings of animals. Once you are a bit more comfortable, bring your car, keep the window closed (check in your dogs at office if you brought them) and drive the safari. It is not cheap, but you will see why they have to charge us so much... This place is in business since 1978!

They have tons of rides, too. The restaurants were decent, so you can eat here if you want to save time.

Lions, bears, and rabbits oh my...
Apr 2015
We went when there was baby lions and bears. It was very cool to hold a baby lion. The park kinda reminds me of jurrasic park, with the big fences...but it is cool. We drove our car through and got VERY close to the animals. When we were there the animals looked healthy and happy. I suggest this park before a zoo.

Great place for kids and adults

This pat, has some very unusual and rare animals. Red pandas and white tigers as well as baby lions are on display. There is a lot of hands on attractions where you can feed an elephant, lions, tigers, camels, zebras, etc... The animals all seem very healthy and well fed. On the bus tour you are given raw meat, bread and pellets to feed through a small window with pitchers. Word of warning when feeding the raw meat, Falcons will swoop down and snatch it!! Amazing place.

Lions, Tigers, & Bears
Feb 2015 • Family
There were several viewing areas, we drove through the safari part which was really cool. The animals are right there next to your car and they have wardens in jeeps nearby just in case. The petting zoo and some rides nearby were great for our young kids.

Nice experience
You can drive through the park in your own car or take a bus-either way you pay per person rather than by car load so the bus is probably the cheaper option. There's also a tiger feeding bus that you can actually put the meat out the side to the huge cats. The animals looked well taken care of and we're all stirring when we drove through in the cold of winter. The end of the trip lands you in a petting zoo complete with kangaroos, monkeys, elephant, birds, giraffes, bunnies, etc. There is also a restaurant, small amusement park and souvenirs.

Safari Land -- Feed a Lion and Pet a Kangaroo
Oct 2012 • Family
Our family visited the Akiyoshidai Safari Land and enjoyed the experience. We drove through the park in our own vehicle with a rented English audio guide. It was definitely memorable to see lions and tigers (and, yes, bears) right out side your car's window. If you take the safari bus, though, you will have a chance to feed the animals through the feeding grates on the side of the bus.

The kids had a lot of fun walking through the petting zoo, where they were able to feed cows, ponies, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, squirrel monkeys and kangaroos. Bring your own hand sanitizer. The kids' play area is pretty impressive: clean, big, and quite innovative. The petting zoo and the play area are included in the admission price.
