Con Dao Museum shows documents and photographs of the island's history form the French colonial era and the time of the prison period. For me this visit was a very sad thing.

This is a must do if you come to Con Dao, it’s not an easy visit, it’s very confronting to see the sad history of this island. The museum does it with compassion.

Museum is free to enter. Provides an interesting insight into the uses of the island and the future of Con Dao. Definitely worth a stop while on Con Dao.

Must-go place to learn about Con Dao history, esp about life in what used to be "hell on earth". Words cannot describe enough, so go see and touch the evidences by yourself.

My husband and I visited Con Dao in mid June 2017, and had two great days of diving with the Con Dao Dive Center. After having been let down by another centre on the island (Dive! Dive! Dive!), we were lucky enough to run into...More
