This was my first visit in early February 2017. It was a sunny dry day and people were sitting outside at tables in the sunshine have their refreshments. There were great looking cakes on display, but we had jacket potatoes which were delicious and ample. Tea for three came in a pot, with milk and packet sugars and quite small... More

Enjoyed a visit here with my family, plenty for all to enjoy. Garden centre, big grounds to walk around, childrens play area, tea rooms and a historic home (charge for that bit) to stroll around. Free parking.

This is a big park surrounding Stansted House. There are some lovely walks to take your dog on but the park is so big we did a 2 mile walk then got in the car and drive to the cafe and garden centre. The Cafe there has an indoor section for dogs which is great as on NY day it... More

The restaurant & conservatory is tucked away between garden centre & main house. It's a delight ,welcoming staff show you to a table you can reserve in advance. There is a good selection of savouries always cooked and presented well. The best part are the amazing cakes, pastries & biscuits so hard to say no too, often I have to take... More

We had a very early start headed the car towards Rowland's Castle. Then came across the country estate of Stansted Park some 1700 hundred acres of farming woods walks and a maze and just what you need on these chilling mornings a good cup of tea. The tea rooms are just a delight of classical Georgian estate conversion from potters shed... More

Our trip on Saturday was curtailed by the dismal wet weather, so after a trip around the garden centre, a friend and I settled for lunch in The Pavilion. We were shown a table straight away and despite being quite busy we were not harassed at all. Surroundings are pleasant and linen tablecloths are a bonus. We both ordered Welsh... More

The house had oversold the event, far too busy making long queues for everything, They had allowed the later time event attendees to gain entrance why the earlier event was still in progress, which meant there were far to many people to make this a good event. I have been to lots of other Halloween events and they are all... More

Very sorry to say but this was the worst ever event that I have attended. My husband and I took out 4 year old to the well publicised Halloween event I can only assume that they sold 4 x the tickets that the event was planned for. To start with we were guided to park in a pitch black field... More
