Niseko has become the destination of choice for powder skiing aficionados from all around the world. Great tree skiing and off-piste experience. stay away from the lower slopes as they are crowded with first time skiers...

Good selection of runs but could be served by better trail marking signs. Also, if you are coming from the Niseko Gondola side be prepared for a hike to get over to the Hirafu slopes side. A magic carpet or some other sort of helper conveyance would be a wise addition (Attention management).

Niseko is a great place to go skiing back country and among the trees ... and when the snow is deep. Few resorts can beat a good day in Niseko. It can though be busy at times ... and windy ... and not so steep ... but with >20cm of fresh white pow it's magic !

The snow here is really worth the long lines. I have never experienced tree runs as great. I would skip hirafu and head to the other resorts and just get the whole mountain pass. Just to avoid the tourists.

This is a great field for all sorts of ski & snowboarder skill levels. There are options for everyone and fresh snow is generally plentiful. The village at the bottom of Hirafu is extremely well setup with shuttles to move you around from A to B, especially handy when you're kitted up in your snow gear. The runs on Hirafu... More

We traveled to Hirafu at the end of Jan/beg of February and we lucked out and had powder conditions all 5 days we were there! Make sure to bring your backcountry gear because most terrain in bounds gets tracked out in the morning so the gates are definitely the way to go. We skied gate 3 and 5 several times.... More

A good friend of mine had been on my case to visit this ski resort for years and finally I made it there. My first day was a bluebird day which is unusual. We got to climb the peak(with avalanche kit ofcourse) and then ski it. I came on a week when the snow was apparently not that great but... More

It's so fun here! The powder is great. The restaurants are vast and delicious. Very western friendly.

i am a level 3 beginner and just wanted to have a bit fun in Niseko. It's highly recommended book ski rental in advanced during peak seasons. Family Lift is a bit crowded as it's for beginners, The overall facilities are pretty good. Had an adult group lesson one day with NBS and they are pretty good and suggest to... More
