Lovely walk from the village. Views down from the aquaduct and canalboats passing right beside you. Good view of the rail viaduct and the scenery through the arches. Carry on to visit the Poachers Pocket alongside the towpath.

This really is a place to go and see. Fantastic views of course but as an engineering feat it really is quite something. Quite a few people were spooked by the drop on one side of the path and the water on the other. The...More

We cycled over the aquaduct while a narrow boat was going over and was amazed at the height. This must have been some feat when it was built. It was great for adults, but was surprised at the height of the fencing considering the drop...More

This aqueduct we have visited by narrowboat. Its a very intense and unheard of experience. On a boat, on a bridge, along another bridge. Recommend.

A most incredible aqueduct, with both canal and railway passages. The canal was very busy the day we visited with the canal boats meandering slowly along. Beautiful views and a lovely walk along the canal side.

Shorter than the famous Llangollen aqueduct so we had a taste of how we might feel before the big one.

Have had several walks over the aqueduct and through the tunnel. Enjoyed chatting with boat handlers as they pas alongside us. There is a community café nearby, and their pancakes are wonderful.

Lovely views and an unusual experience to be able to walk alongside the canal and over the aqueduct. It is great watching the canal boats navigating through the tunnel and then along the aqueduct, definitely worth stopping to have a look at. We parked in...More

Sadly NOT at Chirk ( only if you hitch a ride ) but the LLangollen Viaduct does trips across that Viaduct from Trevor side you can walk across and ride a barge back ..

You can park in Chirk itself and walk to the aqueduct, its not far. Both aqueducts are spectacular and are both worth visiting, I prefer Chirk because of the railway viaduct running parallel and slightly higher than the canal
