The walk up states 2.5 - 3 hours however on the day we did it, temperatures were 34 degrees so 4 hours was our time. Plenty of places to stop and take in the views on the way up. Take plenty of water and some...More

Purchase tickets online to miss out on long queues. Reach the top via a cable car or you can hike it which will roughly take 1/3 hours. There is a floral Kingdom at the top of the mountain, a cafe and toilets are available too....More

Honestly, I came here expecting to be annoyed by all the tourists and having everything be crazy and packed. Luckily, I was totally wrong and this place deserves the hype! We came early, arrived before 10am and we're glad we did. When we left the...More

Most important thing here is to plan. If the weather is good and the cable way Station is open then go early. Book your tickets in advance - much quicker. Long queues form if you leave too late and longer queues if you have to...More

I hiked up by myself in very strong wind. There are no ropes or guides to hold onto on the way up so if you're afraid of heights I would skip this hike. But if you're ok with scrambling up rocks it's worth every minute!

This, as you would expect is a must do. It takes your breath away with the view from the top. Be prepared, you may not get up. The cable car can be closed. A couple we were with it was the fourth attempt to get...More

The funicular has a rotating floor that allows you to get a 360 degree view of the mountain. It was awesome but not a thing for anyone with vertigo or a fear of heights. The view from the top of the mountain is absolutely awesome...More

As long as you have any time in Cape Town a trip up and around Table Mountain is a must. Using the cable car makes it easy (but you will need to queue in the mornings), but it is possible that this will not run...More

@fortunes957 that depends what time you go. There can often be a very long queue to purchase tickets, and if you can purchase on-line then do so.

Hi Mohamed, Your 18 month old travels free! There is only shade at the buildings when at the top. The two Cafés are comfortable if you need shelter.
