Nothing beats the view from the table mountain. The ride up and down in the cable car was breathtaking. You can get souvenirs from the shops at the top. Helps if you have a guide and also to buy your tickets before hand online to avoid the queue.

India venster starts out just like Platteklipp gorge but when reaching the contour path you continue up, there are signs. It is not as tough on the legs as Platteklipp but a little bit more difficult. There are a few places where you have to climb smaller cliffs. Nothing really scary but still not for everyone, not if you are... More

On the first visit in January 2016 the weather was either bad (cloudy) or too windy to go up the mountain. So I decided to go back to Cape Town to try and get that sight off my bucket list. We booked the ticket in advance and got up there really early (around 8am by the station). The waiting time... More

The top of table mountain is beautiful. There is a nice cafe at the top too where you can grab breakfast or lunch depending on the time. If you're there, I strongly recommend that you do the abseiling!

Table Mountain trip is a must!!! I hate saying that but is a true, if you are in Cape town you have to go there! I strongly advise to go on afternoon to avoid long queas, is not nice to wait for our or longer in full african sun. The view from the top is astonishing.

Numerous hikes with lovely scenery. Walk within a few meters of different types of bucks during the hikes.

By reaching the top of Table Mountain, either by foot through Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens or at the side of the mountain. At the top of the mountain you will be able to see the Atlantic Ocean and on a clear day even the Indian Ocean. The whole of the CBD area, harbor and various suburbs. The vegetation on the mountain... More

We hiked up Platteklip gorge on a very hot day, we started our hike at 8:20 but in hindsight would have gone close to 6:30. It was over 30 degrees by 9:00 so we were glad to have packed plenty of water. Overall it took us 2 hours to reach the top but the effort was well worth it. You... More
