We rented a motorbike and use our Google Map to bring us to this Doi Inthanon. On our way, we stop over nearby petrol kiosk to fill up just before entering into the mountain roads. The road was scenic, winding and quiet honestly do check your vehicle before going else would be difficult to call for help. On the first... More

We were really lucky, right place right time. End January happened to be the blooming season of the Sakura flowers and we head up to Doi Inthanon National Park to see the flowers! We chartered a van to bring us up. The route up the national park was long and winding. Took us about 1hr to reach the park entrance... More

There are some brilliant viewpoints on the way to the summit. Definitely recommend trekking with one of the local guides. Splendid waterfalls including Mae Ya and Wachitharanin. The locally grown coffee is one of the best I have had. There is only one food cafe just before the summit but the food there is amazing. Recommend to try Naem sausage,... More

It's a long ride from Chiang Mai but the park and the buildings at the top of the mountain with their gardens are stunning. If you're lucky, you'll experience a clear day. We had a lot of haze.

We visited the national park by bike and it was a brilliant day. We rented a Honda cbf 300 and drove through the park. It was 300thb entrance per person and 20 thb for the "bike entrance". It's a beautiful place to go with breathtaking waterfalls (even during the dry season) and good roads for everyone who loves to ride... More

Visited highest mountain in Thailand, Doi Inthanon, as a full day trip from Chiang Mai. A mini van of various nationalities with a guide and driver. Attractions included the mountain peak (with short forest trail), Phra Maha Dhatu Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Pagoda (King and Queen Pagodas and surrounding lovely gardens), Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail (which is open part of... We hired a private driver for the day to take us to the top. The mountain itself was anticlimactic. There are some decent views on the way up. But the top is forested and not that interesting. You can go for a short walk with all the other visitors. We weren't interested in the newly built temples near the top.... More
