We are open for public visitor entry Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm. We have birds flying throughout the day from 10.30am - 4pm close up to visitors and a set Flying display at 12.30pm. Yarak is a stand alone specialist Bird of Prey Centre and is not attached to an attraction as a sideshow. The centre is run by experienced professional falconers that really care about their birds and customers. All the birds here are classed as "family" and are treated with a huge amount of respect and want for nothing. Yarak caters for hands on experiences, handling and flying our birds.

We bought the half day experience voucher and absolutely loved it. It was a fantastic day with beautiful, well trained and happy birds. John and the team were very accommodating and knowledgeable. You can tell that the John really cares for the birds but also wants the guests to have a great experience. We will definitely be back to support... More

We bought the full day experience at Yarak for a family Christmas present last year and finally got around to taking it last weekend. I cannot recommend Yarak highly enough - and that's despite it being absolutely freezing and me losing all feeling in my feet for most of the day. This is the complete antithesis of a big, touristy... More

Visited Yarak for Whole Day experience on Fri 25th Nov. We were very lucky that we were the only ones attending in the morning and someone for a Half-day experience came in the pm, 3 people to 1 instructor - what could be better! The day was bitterly cold, absolutely nothing could be done about that but the warmth of... More

Well, out of all the 400+ activities/experiences that I have completed on my Bucket List, this was one of the best activities that I have done so far! I attended this activity on 24 November 2016. As it was so cold, we flew the 4 Owls indoors. I enjoyed flying the Owls so much, especially Tig and the Barn Owl... More

Visited recently for a half day experience. Lovely centre in a very picturesque setting, with a nice range of raptor and owl species on display. All members of staff were very friendly and informative, with brilliant interactions with the birds put in a place in a way that fulfills visitors expectations without causing any distress to the birds. Would highly... More

Went to the falconry centre today with my family of 7 to celebrate my sons 40th Birthday. It proved to be an excellent afternoon out with, with the whole family enjoying an informed session with the birds. The host was very knowledgeable, even with some difficult subjects being asked, and was proved to be really well informed about falconry and... More

Brilliant experience to see thes birds close up.We did the basic visit which included looking at all the birds and being able to watch several of them being excercised. To watch the birds fly was spectacular and we were given a very infomative talk by a handler who was obviously knowledgable and pasionate about the birds. The visit lasted about... More

What an amazing day. We went for the full day experience, and it was perfect. We spent the morning flying some stunning and gentle owls, being told all about them like how to be a great perch for the day, their hunting habits and family skills. We enjoyed lunch there, we chose an amazing fish pie and coffee. Then in... More

Owls, Falcons and even Eagles. Great and caring owner, looking after birds, so you're doing good here too by supporting this. Very engaging and informative members of staff too. I'd imagine an excellent day for nature loving young uns. You can pay extra for a day experience and get some extras, we did not do this but even still you... More

What a day, all the staff were so engaging and passionate about these beautiful birds that they care for,it couldn't have been better. The thoughtful way that we were engaged with the birds by the very knowledgeable staff was a wonderful delight that will stay with us forever. My only regret is that we didn't visit it before, but it... More
