The shell museum is more of a large and somewhat rambling personal shell collection that is now on display, It is quite a collection though and a must see for any person interested at all in collecting shells.

I agree with one of the previous reviewers. This museum has a lot of potential but not looked after. There are a lot of shells. Brief explanation from the guide. When we asked questions, she had very little other knowledge. Gave us a very brief...More

The place is included in our Panglao Tour and our driver Kuya Mario told us before we even enter the place that there are very expensive pearls and shells that are being sold inside. Hmmm. that strike's as curiosity for us. The place is begging...More

This place could have been a great tourist spot. Sadly: - 1. Place was not well maintained. Water leaking from ceiling causing floor to be slippery; 2. Guides were not interested to tell you much. More engrossed with the mobile phone. Only concern is to...More

Definitely bigger on the inside. You can visit room after room and every time you think you've reached the end, it turns out you're wrong. The guide was extremely well informed and very interesting. Check out the tree house!

The visit of the shell museum was ok, we took a look around and bought something, but if it has not been part of our booked tour, I would not go there.

Less than 15 min away from Alona Beach. Perhaps a good stop before or Hinadagnan Cave? Encountered mosquitos though.

There is a 50 PHP entrance fee. Shells inside the museum are owned by an avid shell collector (Mr. Hora). Guides are knowledgeable about the shells. Also saw an exhibit of collected coins. There's a shop at the back where you can buy shell products...More

They have a great collection of shells from all over the world. We did not have much time to spend here. The guide was very knowledgable. I would love to have all the pictures and names, and origins of their collections.
