We stayed at The Gannett Inn the sister hotel but had use of Caribs Bay Beach spa facilities and it is a lovely hotel, fantastic views and the staff were very nice here also.

Wonderful beach, great walks, all lovely - except for the excavations at the St Ives end - looks like a mega development associated with the Carbis Bay Hotel. Hmm...

One of the best beaches in Cornwall. The downside is there is very little parking and suggest you go on the train from St Ives or St Erth/Penzance but this means that there are fewer people able to use it. Great beach cafe/bar/restaurant. Soft white...More

The whole family enjoyed the day at the beach - 2 adults and 4 children aged 15,13,10 and 9. Would recommend for a family day out.

This was a lovely beach, but unfortunately too much building work going on for the new apartments. So you cannot relax.

We loved coming to this beach, it's very beautiful, there are no dogs allowed on this beach which was perfect for us, each time we went there were maybe another 2 or 3 people there. Felt like we had the beach to ourselves.

Think the previous answers are correct. However be aware that when we visited there was a huge amount of building work going on.
Hi, how disruptive were the building works at Carbis Bay Hotel? We are not staying at the hotel but will be staying in a house in Carbis Bay and had hoped to spend many hours at the beach. Is the whole beach affected? If we stay to one or other side of Carbis Bay will we be affected by the noise?

The hotel is at the end of the beach where the work is as well so if your house is at the far end you should be ok. Also the beach is very long.

Are there any pubs

A few places to drink in Carbis or one stop on the train to St Ives for loads of choice. There is a beach bar and restaurant but it is very pricey due to the location. Dog friendly pub is (I think) The Badger.
