Brilliant place
Aug 2020 • Family
Spent a very happy morning here with kids aged 10 and 13. Beautiful place, clean and well organised. Due to Covid we booked online - they offered morning, afternoon and evening slots. Took own towels and flip flops and chose 4 sun beds in the shade as was a very hot day. We all enjoyed the warm water - 39 degrees! Not busy as they were limiting numbers so very relaxing and got table for lunch without needing to book. Tasty food and reasonably priced. Recommended - didn’t experience any of the issues others mentioned.

One of our favorite experiences in Tuscany
May 2019 • Couples
We discovered this oasis after spending several days in the Tuscan region and oh what a delightful day we had there! Massages, relaxing and soaking in the waters was just what we needed to recharge. How I dream of returning someday!

beware of showers
Dec 2019
the thermal baths are beautiful and the water is great. It is honestly a very relaxing experience and the fact that they accept kids makes it even easier for us parents. Despite the positive, i would have a few recommendations to make. the first would be to put up a sign to indicate that there are steps in the water as these are not very visible. in addition, enforcing the rule of the swim cap (like for other thermal baths) would also be appropriate to avoid getting long strands of hair floating in your face. However, the major problem is the showers: the water temperature changes on its own constantly and when you are trying to wash your kids and have just put shampoo on their heads, it is honestly a challenge to have the temperature go from iced cold to burning hot without any control. I have been to these thermal baths three times now and the problem has persisted despite the fact that we have mentioned it to the receptionist at every visit (other people were complaining as well). when we signaled it again last visit, we were told that they were aware of the problem and that the team had been working to fix it throughout the day, but it is exactly the same reply we got the other two times, which to me, sounds more like an excuse rather than an attempt to fix the situation. my problem is not the fact that the structure has this flaw but rather that they should admit it and make parents aware of this issue so that we can make informed decisions and find solutions that are better suited for our children (like washing them at home). what a shame that half a day of fun and relaxation should end in stress...

Nice location but be aware of extra charges
Sep 2019 • Couples
We visited this Thermal Spa recently as we have an house near by. The entry price is very cheap and the location is amazing especially on sunset hour but be aware of extra charges not mentioned on the website. There is a refundable deposit if you would like a locker in the changing room (take cash with you). If you don’t bring your towel, bathrobe or slippers (which probably you won’t if you’re on vacation) will cost about €10 per person. Also, in the showers there are not soap dispensers therefore take some soap with you. I won’t mind paying a bit extra in order to have a bit more comfortable visit. Anyway it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience.

Nice place, cover your hair
Sep 2019 • Family
We visited with another family, several children with long hair were among us. The facility is nice, there is a cafe with various sandwiches, salads etc.

The showers are not very well thought out, they are small and the floors in the showers and changing rooms are very slippery and would have benefited greatly from a different flooring material. The same goes for parts of the outside area.

The baths / pools are great, loved the water, it was spacious enough while we were there, I suspect it might be more crowded in high season.

There are two very important factors to consider:
- remove all jewelry before entering the water especially silver which oxidizes quickly in the sulphur rich water
- if you have long hair use a swim cap and cover your hair, try to avoid soaking it as the calcium in the water will bind to your hair causing havoc.

If you do get stiff and tangled hair there is a possible quick fix to get the calcium out of it - lemon water - wash your hair, rinse and then rinse with lemon water (lemon juice in lots of water, not pure lemon juice). It dissolves the calcium and minerals bound to your hair. Your mileage may vary, no guarantees it'll work for you, and the lemon water is acidic.

We were not impressed that these two important issues weren't mentioned at all, we could have avoided a lot of tears detangling three girls!

I can recommend for a family visit but beware the hair issue.

Top notch terme near Siena or Umbria limits
Sep 2019 • Friends
Just perfect, you can access to a great swimming area by paying a low cost fee of 15 euros if you arrive after 19hs during friday night that will stay open till midnight. There are nice tables where you can have aperitivo or dinner during the fabulous sunset scene. Take your own towels and flip flops, free parking and priceless memories!
Near siena highway access... cant miss Rapolano thermals.

Morning visit
Sep 2019 • Couples
We visited the hot spring on a Saturday and stayed from about 11.00 until 16.00. Be sure to arrive early if you want a good spot, because it is packed with locals! As far as I could tell we were the only non-Italians.

There are two outdoor and one indoor pool with plenty of spots where one can sit or lay down in the water.

The lunch is good as well. Plenty of (healthy) options and ice cream for the kids.

Excellent facilities and service in a beautifully landscaped setting
Jul 2019
We have been to San Giovanni Terme on multiple occasions, both as day visitors and as guests in the hotel facility, and have nothing but good things to say about this fabulous oasis in the Tuscan countryside.
The staff is friendly and accommodating, while the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous, as are the views. As a day guest you have access to 3 thermal pools, meticulously clean changing and shower areas, and a café offering healthy and delicious food options at a very reasonable price.
As guests in the hotel one is privy to 2 additional pools with direct access from the hotel. San Giovanni offers a variety of packages, with overnights with half and full pension, to a “day hotel” option, with private room at your disposal during the day and includes a 3-4 course meal in their excellent restaurant at lunchtime.
As inveterate travelers in Italy and having spent more than 20 consecutive summers in the area, San Giovanni offers superior value and comes with our highest recommendation

Relaxation Achieved
Jun 2019 • Friends
We appreciated the well-appointed locker room which included plentiful hair dryers. A robe and towel may be rented at the front desk or bring your own. There are two outdoor pools and two indoor. The lowest outdoor pool has a tanning deck and lukewarm water. Lots of chaise loungers around the pools and many more arranged in the gardens.
There are pricey salads and sandwiches of low quality. The 25€ dinner is not recommended. It was the only unpalatable food we've had in Italy.
The waters and the resort are wonderful though. Just be aware there are no other options for meals and a robe or decent swimsuit cover is required.
Being covered in powder-fine minerals resulted in the soft, smooth skin!
