Description:

A Canopy Tour® takes you on an unforgettable adventure as you slide from...

A Canopy Tour® takes you on an unforgettable adventure as you slide from one platform to the next along a series of steel cables set amongst magnificent natural surroundings. It is widely regarded as one of the best eco-adventure activities in the world and is something for people of all ages with the youngest being 3 and the oldest 90 so far to do the tour. The concept of Canopy Tour originated in the rain forests of Costa Rica, where scientists were studying animals and birds in the Canopy Layer of the Forest. Safely sliding from tree to tree to a series of platforms became a novel way to see the flora and fauna of an indigenous forest. A whole new level of appreciation was born when the concept became one of South Africa’s most popular eco adventure activities. Karkloof canopy tour is only 1:30 from Durban, near Howick in the Midlands, this is a must do activity especially for nature lovers or adventure seekers looking to do something truly unique. Professional guides assure the safety of each group and point out interesting facts along the way. It’s ideal for team building, kid’s parties, family get-togethers, corporate events or just a fun day out. Open every day, with tours every half an hour from 8am to 3pm. Come experience one of South Africa’s fastest growing eco-adventures with thousands of satisfied thrill-seekers having already caught the bug.

Thank you guys for a fabulous experience. I was very nervous to start off with but your staff made me feel at ease. Wonderful chaps Ernest and his team. My little grandson (6) had such a ball and wants to do it again for his birthday. See you again soon. Thank you again. Anne.

What a fantastic way to test your fear of heights!!! I have not had so much fun in a while. The views from the zip lines were magnificent. This is a highly recommended "thing to do" while visiting the beautiful Kwa Zulu Natal midlands. The zip line tour guides that escorted us were absolutely fantastic, friendly and fun. Overall friendly,... More

This is the third Canopy Tour we do with this company and it's really worth it. We went as two moms with 3 kids between us ages 11 to 14. There are 10 Ziplines that go very close to a beautiful waterfall, an impressive height for a beautiful view of Howick and the nature reserve we were in and a... More

There's something magical about zooming through the tree tops with Tarzan like ease. Add in the fact that you're doing it in the second largest indigenous forest in Southern Africa, and the experience is all the better. As with any tip of canopy tour, there's a certain amount of waiting around as each of you takes their turn on the... More

As a Christmas present this year my mom booked for me to do the Karkloof Canopy tour. This was the greatest experience. The staff were friendly and the tour itself was fun, exhilarating, educational and well-priced. For a little under R600 you get to go on 10 different lines of varying lengths and heights. It's truly amazing and the views... More
