Towadako is big、 deep、 rich in geological history and biological diversity- deservedly a fixture on the nature lovers' trail. Check out the National Park office and display room. Oirase Gorge complements the lake with a more intimate experience of the streams and forest. Both absolutely...More

This gallery was a real highlight in our journey on this particular day. I love collections that are not overwhelming in their scope and scale and the modern art on display here is top quality and original. Having a few works by Yoko Ono is...More

English review is below 奥入瀬から十和田市現代美術館へ。草間彌生さんデザインの公園に、オノ・ヨーコさんの念願の木など、なかなかに良かったです。地方の現代美術館だと思って甘く見ない方が良いと思います。 I went to Towada Art Center from Oirase mountain steam. Visited Towada at the end of April to enjoy the sakura; however it was raining, so we sheltered in this museum. Although the museum is small, the art works are amazing. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor art works here

We came here after checking out online. Driven all the way for about an hour from Hachinohe. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very interactive and it is amazing! If you are passing by, do spare an hour or 2 to do a visit.

Towada City’s Kanchogai-dori street (Government Offices Street) is much-beloved by the citizens of Towada City as a site for holding sakura parties. Unfortunately, strong winds have swept all the sakura petals to the ground when we arrived at end April. The street and park was...More

This is definitely a must see museum. There's not a lot to see in each room but each work of art leaves you wondering what's in the next room.
