Outdoors person or not you need to marvel at what Mother Nature does. It’s hard to believe these huge boulders have not toppled down into the valley. Although many have over time. Many places to hike in the area with good footpath maps by the...More

In a valley on the eastern side of Lake Iseo these incredible geological formations can be observed. The Piramidi di Zone is located near the hamlet of Cislano between the town of Marone on the lake and Zone in the hills. The easiest way to...More

We started the walk from Zone. The InfoPoint guy said it would take around an hour, which it did, and that it is 'easy'. It's easy if you are reasonably fit - it's a long descent into the ravine and a long ascent the other...More

We caught a bus from Marone to Cislano, where it's a fairly short walk to see the rock formations. They are very dramatic, and it was worth the trip just for the stunning mountains around them! You couldn't see them very well due to some...More

If you like hiking and if you are looking for some nice views on lake Iseo and the Piramidi, take the indicated Sentieri di Piramidi from the parking in Cislano. It took us something like 75 minutes to do the walk.

There is a path round the Piramidi with information plates explaining what you are seeing. However it is very steep, and I would just stop at the U-bend overlooking the site and take a few pictures from the observation point. (There is parking there, although...More

Loved our 2 hour hike in the woods and mountains overlooking lake Iseo. We met Italians and Dutch along the way. In cinque terra almost all were American. We loved being a part of the European crowd.

Nice hike where you enjoy those strange but amazing rock formations. With a little imagination the Piramides look like creatures from different world :)
