Another great place to visit when you arrived in Malacca. Kids like it so much. Entrance fee are affordable price, and you can also take feeding pack to feed emu, koi fish and giant turtle.

This was not our first time here. This trip was awesome because there was a crocodile feeding session and a little show and tell about snakes. Personally, I love snakes and this place has quite a variety of them. They even have an Anaconda which I am terrified of. They also have a variety of amphibians and arachnids. It's a place where everyone should really take their time to look around because they have interesting creatures. If you are an insect lover, you will find interesting ones here too. There are also iguanas and geckos if you are interested. They have a variety of birds as well.

This is one of our favorite places to visit in Melaka - highly recommended especially if you have kids . Pre-Covid we would make annual trips here and it has never disappointed. We went back this past week after a long hiatus and were pleasantly surprised at the improvements made, specifically opportunities for kids to interact with the animals via feeding packs sold along with the admission tickets. There were fewer species of butterflies this time around, likely as a result of the pandemic lockdown, but the animals otherwise looked healthy and well cared for. I am always impressed at how clean the enclosures are- never a smell, even after a night of heavy rainfall.

Staff is very friendly, environment and cleanness very good.
Some places is quite slippery, should have take some action, with the price ticket.... I would expected more not stuffy, because the day we visit is not hot sunny day, but still we are sweating like crazy....

Should also suggested more senior citizen friendly, and have some family combo ticket price.

Thank you, have a nice day.

We visited this venue which was only 10 minutes from our hotel the Ames Hotel in Ayer Keroh, melaka. The entry fee was reasonable. Walking around one could interact with butterflies of various sizes and colours. We also viewed reptiles, Australian birds, rabbits and large insects. The staff were helpful and courteous. Maintenance was ongoing whilst we were there.

This place is worthwhile visiting! There were many types of reptiles, butterflies, birds such as emu and parrots. They have the 2nd and 3rd largest tortoise species there as well. Be prepared to walk to see them. Be mindful not to scare them not make any loud noises as these can really be upsetting for them. I wish the caretakers there would advise the visitors to “behave” accordingly.

I will certainly come back here for future visits.

The park seems to have gone through an upgrading since the last time we visited. Took us about an hour and a half to explore the park. Worth the visit if your family love looking at insects, reptiles and birds up close. But of course, some of us may feel quite sad to see these animals and insects trapped in an enclosure.

One of the first animals that you'd see is the majestic-looking albino peacock kept in a cage. Next you'd see some rare beetles and lizards before heading towards the butterfly enclosure. Imagine yourself walking through a park filled with fluttering butterflies. But do be careful as you walk and try to avoid stepping on the butterflies. If you are lucky, some may decide to perch on your fingers.

Other than the butterflies and the other creatures mentioned, you'd get to see emus, alligators, crocodiles and snakes too.

We liked the place cos we were not bothered by pushy promoters selling souvenirs or things that you don't need. Definitely worth a visit.

I was extremely shocked to see large wild animals such as tapirs and leopards housed in this 'butterfly park'.The two leopards were enclosed in a small cage that provided no place for these animals to hide and the tapir was enclosed in an empty room with a glass window. This type of environment is not healthy for such large animals that belong in the wild. Furthermore the tapir that was housed at this park had an open and infected wound and was attempting to scratch this by rubbing against the wall of the enclosure. I have provided a link to this park and there is an image of the tapir enclosed in its dull and depressing enclosure.

My trip to Malaysia was certainly RUINED by this experience and I was left saddened that such beautiful animals could be housed in such awful conditions. This is definitely a case of animal cruelty that needs serious addressing. I would advise persons to avoid this place until they remove these larger animals from this 'butterfly park'
