Went there on my recent visit to Kronberg on February 19, but unfortunately, the castle was closed. It will remain closed until March 17 for the winter break. The area itself seems nice and the houses surrounding looks like out of fairy tale books. Good...More

My german is very limited so it took me about three trips to the castle to finally notice and understand that the castle is closed for winter season. There is so much history in this little and lovely town that enriches how well preserved and...More

It is a nice castle. Has entrance fee. In a part of it, there are hosted events. Not crowded, perfect for a walk. The view on the town and on Frankfurt is really good.

You can access the town very quickly from Frankfurt using the S-bahn S4. Then you can enjoy a very nice walk through the town. There is a great view over the hills and surroundings as well and the medieval castle up completes the view of...More

Really good castle to see! Interesting design, and a great guide! We were guided through the castle, where we learned about the local history!

The town itself is very relaxed with narrow cobblestone roads and slopes. Beautiful views from various locations en route to the burg. Burg itself is well maintained and not a very vast space to explore. On terrace-1, the garden offers nice view of surrounding Taunus...More

It was a beautiful afternoon to take a drive out of Frankfurt. We visited Kronberg and found our way to the castle. It sits at the top of the town. We decided to tour on our own. It was very nice and worth the visit.

We had a small tour in English. Being a sleepy town, we were the only visitors, so it became a private tour. This medieval borg is immaculately maintained and often used by locals for events. Lovely views of Frankfurt and an easy walk to shops...More

Not the biggest of the castles in the area, but a nice one nonetheless. The view from the garden on the city plus the skyline of Frankfurt is unbeatable and climbing the tower is fun for kids and a challenge for adults. Definitley a place...More
