The Underground River of the Caves of San Jose is a beautiful natural cave.Visit the longest navigable underground river in Europe will allow you to enter into the depths of the earth a peaceful boat plying waters, admire the fanciful shapes of the rocks that the action of water has shaped over thousands of years backward and forward in time at breakneck speed to imagine the growth of stalactites and stalagmites, hear the silence, feel the murmur of water, the echo produced by a drop of water on an underground lagoon, discovering a beautiful landscape that nature has kept secret since the mists of time today.

We went there during week time and early in the morning and we did not have to cue. I think they are doing a tour every hour. There is free parking and easy access to the location. There are bars, restaurants and gift shops. The...More

We enjoyed the boat ride through the caves, you must try to not the boat and be careful getting on and off. Our tour guide gave us even more information than the actual tour guide from the Coves. Very cool seeing all the stagnated rocks...More

The tour takes anywhere from 40 to 50 minutes, part of the visit being done by boat and part by foot, through a dry gallery. The temperature is always constant, around 20 degrees, though due to fluctuations of the space, humidity, depth of water, can...More

Very interesting cave complex. We didn't pre- book our tickets but as it was quiet, tickets were readily available. It may be worth booking tickets on line at busy times as there are only so many tickets available every hour. The trip takes approx 45...More

What can be better than when you cruise on a big ship as Independence, and we stop different places and are lucky to come to this Grutas de San Jose. Well worth the trip with a little boat inside on the Cave lake.

Had a trip here from Valencia, and luckily got tickets with 5 minutes to spare otherwise would have had to wait another hour. Caves were amazing, had to duck a few times in the boat to avoid hitting my head. Only downside was that the...More

Very interesting place with great views inside the caves. The trip is in the boat on a cave river. Tourist audio guides with lots of languages. Of course much more interesting to listen to the boatman, but only if you understand Spanish.
