From tourist point of view, it’s a great place even with family. However, if you’re bringing baby stroller you’d think twice as the tracks are rocky

Recommend visiting this place in evening, at sunset. Castle itself is nice to walk around, very interesting photography exhibition. But once you get to the very top, just wait for sunset, and stay a bit after it, because that's when the sky is the most...More

You can walk up the steep hill to the castle but we took the lift and then walked down cost of life 2.7 euros each. Great views from the top and plenty of room to move around. There are cafes in the grounds.

No, it isn't but you can take a bus that passes along the waterfront and you get at the foot of the castle hill in about 5 minutes. And that's where there are all you need to see in Alicante
