The walk to the Castillo can be a bit demanding but there is the option to take the lift from the beach. Once you reach the top the views are amazing! If you wish to spend a few extra euro and relax there is a nice bar inside the Castle. Amazing sunset from up here.

Well worth a visit. There is a lift to take you up if you don't fancy the climb, only €2:70 (free for children & over 65s) when we went. There are plenty of interesting places to walk, explore & admire the views. You can easily spend 3-4 hours here.

You must do this if you are in the Alicante area, amazing views of city skyline and so much history on show.

While we got a rigorous hike up to the top of the castle by foot, there was nothing much to see. Probably best view of the entire bay area, but the castle itself was nothing to work for

We spent 2.70 euros each to visit the castle using the lift. Money well spent. The views are amazing. We went on a Thursday so it was nice and quiet.

We used the lift which was worth the small entrance fee, it gets you very near the top, if you are unable to climb the steps for the very top the views from this point were superb.

Well worth the visit, you can get the lift up for approx 3 euros from the beach front. The views are amazing and you can spend a couple or more hours up at the top. Great spots to take pictures from, a few interesting bits where you can go inside and look at old pottery and photos. A couple of... More

The castle is a lovely way to pass half a day and I'd advise that you take the elevator to the top rather than walk. You can get to it from a tunnel that opens onto the road by the beach and its not really signposted till you are very close to it. The cost is just a few Euros... More

Hard to find your way both to get there and to get down again and all information signs was in Spanish as far as I could see. When I see all this pictures it's like I've been somewhere else, don't now where to find it haha. But we took the elevator up (2,7 euro) and took a walk down after... More
