Ok, first of all, it is NOT boracay of the south. Boracay sand is better and there are more things to do in Boracay and more resort choices. However, the long stretch of beach is worth going to if you're near here. Though if you are from Davao, Samal is better or Mati. No resort choices if you're looking for... More

Gumasa beach in the town of Glan is about a kilometer long. Travel time from General Santos City is about an hour. If you don't have a car, ride the blue tricycle from anywhere in the city to KCC Mall. Fare is ₱10. At the front of the mall, on the left side is the van terminal. Pick the van... More

Gumasa beach in Glan Province is a hidden treasure in Mindanao. (Proud Mindanaon here, wink* wink*). It is called Boracay of the South because of its firm-white sands/ beach. It offers tranquility and compared to the real Boracay, this place is good for those who wants to bond with nature. Came there (i forgot the beach resort) and paid 3,000Php... More

No busy crowd, no loud music and partying. Just you and the beach. You can camp out or stay in one of the resorts.

We visited the place to get peace and relaxation, ended up with resorts that is very costly. We ditched the resorts look for a place in the area that doesnt cost so much and we stumbled upon tjis house by the sea and asked for permission if we can go swim and they graciously welcomed us with open arms and... White beach, blue clear water, less people = heaven! I've spent nights here with my family. I never stop loving this place. You dont need to travel far if you are looking for a great beach. Cottages are made of bamboos, simple and clean.

For years Gumasa was my favorite place to visit during our lengthy semester break in China. The beach is beautiful. I prefer the south-facing beach which overlooks Celebes Sea to the western beach which faces Sarangani Bay. There is lots of coral just offshore, so snorkeling is great. But the coral is dying and needs better protection. I hadn't been... More

Travel from Davao City around 3 hour bus ride to General Santos then rode a van going to Glan for another one hour to reach the white sand beach of Gumasa, Glan at Saranggani Province. The sand is as white as the sand in Boracay but less powdery. The place not crowded and good for relaxation. The resort at Isla... More

you will be greeted warmly by staffs, there are isolated beaches where you can feel exclusive with your loved one(s). The place itself is relaxing and soul soothing. For the most resorts, you only have to to pay: 50Php- Adults 30Php- Kids You can bring tent or picnic matt and have a wonderful time looking at the shoreline.
