This historical Russian Orthodox cathedral is a most amazing place. Who knew the Orthodox church had more than a century of history in Japan? Even from the outside, everything appears so pre-revolutionary Russian that it's easy to forget one is in Japan (except there is...More

Not being familiar to orthodoxity, I do not say anything about the significance of this church, but, for I, this church was impressive. Built in Meiji Period, more than 120 years ago,(Year Meiji 24th), that this was kept well is vey rare since Tokyo had...More

The Russian cathedral looks absolutely beautiful from the outside, with an impressive façade. However, upon entering it you cannot help but be disappointed by the not-so-impressive interiors. You can avoid paying for a ticket just by saying "No, thank you". It's not really worth getting...More

Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting
with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day
