Lots of interesting stalls both inside and outside. There were many things to see and try even if you aren’t a fan of waiting on lines.

One of the cooler experiences while in Tokyo was attending this market and trying the various fresh fish from the street stalls. There are also great restaurants scattered among the market worth eating at. Highly recommended!

We arrived at about 7:00 a.m. which was a big mistake. The staff didn’t let us in. Tourists are allowed to visit the market only after 11:00 a.m. We didn’t wait because there would be nothing to see.

For Seafood lover or food adventurers...3 words fresh, clean, pack! Come early to avoid the que to see or taste the food stalls. Popular seafood grilled. Oysters super big and fresh. Downside is too many signs “no camera” and not cheap.

Too crowded to really enjoy. The food I had was delicious (try the otoro bowl), but there were just way too many people to stop and look at the different stalls.

Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
