A touch of USA in Tokyo

I must admit seeing the Statue of Liberty in Tokyo was a pleasant surprise. The area also offered great photo opportunities of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge.

visiting Japan in first weeks in April will make every place more beautiful, this status is very small comparing to original one in New York but still nice to see in Tokyo in a very nice view and completed by the beautiful sakura ( cherry blossoms ) trees.

but I wouldn't make a special trip just to see this statue. If you are in Daiba, then go. Walk on the boardwalk, take pictures of the bay and go shopping.

You don't see that often in a foreign place so this was fun to see. It is right in front of Aquacity Mall so you cannot miss it.

Came here on the way from Narita airport to hotel after 12 hour flight. The man made beach and statue seem rather out of place. The small gardens and along the streets were so pretty as all the apple blossom was blooming. Also some planters had tulips and other spring flowers. A lot of cafes across the road from statue... Basically - don't spend time traveling across Tokyo to see the Statue of Liberty. We accidentally allowed our tour guide to take us to this very out of the way locale. The train ride was about $40 round trip as the local subway train does not go to this location - a special train must be taken. Once you arrive... More

Well France gave Japan another Statue of Liberty , smaller than NYC but same for Tokyo to enjoy. The shock is it sits on the side ofhte harbor on an ordinary road with urban background. it is a celebration of freedom and liberty still and feels nice for an American to see our joyful lady in Tokyo.

When traveling to Oidaba, a must see is the Statue of Liberty. At night, she's lit with a really cool view of the rainbow bridge and city behind her.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
