A very handy complex if staying close. A variety of eating places and a range of other shops in both east centre and west centre.

Great afternoon spent here. Spoilt for choice with eateries. Wonderful picture guides for these which was a great help as only here for a short visit and don't read Japanese.

when we checked in to Shibuya Tokyu Excel hotel we were tired and didn't want to travel far for food, so we literally went down stairs where this "city" was (the Shibuya Station is here as well) we were not ready for the amount of vendors that were there.

I stayed at the hotel which is located in Shibuya Mark City, so I decided to check this place out as well. It is ok. Very crowded because it is connected to Shibuya Station....people will be bumping into you. Lots of shops and eateries. Close early though, especially if you are here at one of their coffee shops. Nothing really... More

One catches the many buses, trains, metros, JR and Narita Airport line thru entrances around and throughout Mark CIty. Signage could be much better. However, Mark City was immaculate in it's cleanliness. There were great stores to shop and many wonderful eating establishments. The Food Court should have had much better signage and something to let the stupid gringos know... More

The 3rd floor and 4th floor food avenue is accessible from the outside and filled with a wide variety of eateries ranging from ice cream and a French bakery cafe to Chinese food, a sushi place with a line even at 9 AM and Spanish tapas style restaurant. Prices are not cheap but it's Tokyo! The mall is right near... More

I love the food place (sweets and cakes) at the basement of Mark City. We bought a assorted pastries and fresh moochies (they expire within a couple of days).

We have never seen food presented so well. Not only I'm mark city but at all food courts in Japan. We didn't do much shopping. Visited the restaurants and Excelsior for coffee, much better than Starbucks

We went here for a shopping walk and for food. Be aware that even on a Friday at 3pm there are lines up to one hour in front of the restaurants. Shops were soso, and we ended up buying nothing here. Cafes are closing about 8:30pm to 9:00pm.

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
