We were there at a very hot day, but nevertheless we enjoyed the crowd and the friendly atmosphere. Good Shrine to combine with the electronic shopping area.

I loved this wee Gem of a shrine in the middle of Shibuya, a nice wee retreat from walking and people. Look out so you don't miss it. wonderful colours and a flavour of the old culture

This is a non tourist shrine with Japanese families coming on weekends to pray and sample street food in little stores. Great assortment of sweets! The shrine is lovely and it is a quick walk to the sightseeing cruise boats.

If you haven't seen a shrine before, this may be interesting. Spend some time and see how Japanese people prey.

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
