Best place for Yakitori. Cosy seating but good food and reasonable prices. Been here a few times and will go again

We visited here after our tour guide told us about it. It's very quirky and interesting . We walked up and down the alley a couple of times before we picked a little place with 8 seats. We ordered a couple of little dishes to...More

Really good food but not cheap since most places require a cover charge, a drink and an order. We had imagined going to a few places to try different things, but it's more economical to just pick one place and stay there or else what...More

This is a great experience if you like to drink and taste a variety of finger foods. Little "pubs" like each with a different variety of small dishes similar to tapas. Very packed at night.

Unfortunately we didn't get to experience this in the evening, as that's what majority of reviews said when I was originally looking at what to see and do in Tokyo. Still a nice stroll in "piss alley" despite most restaurants preparing food for the night...More

I spent a lot of time planning into our trip to Tokyo and one of the areas I most wanted to see was Omoide Yokocho. It is one of those "when I think of Japan" type of places... alleyways jammed with restaurants selling yakitori... sort...More

Located at Shinjuku just next to the Uniglo Bldg. Venture down the narrow alleys. We tried the vegetable tempura ramen stall located at the heart / crossroads of the alley. It was excellent comfort food for a cold wet summer evening. We tried a yakitori...More

We were lucky to meet up with an ex-pat on our first night in Tokyo and we ended up here sampling the "street food". The area is basically two alleys packed with food stalls/shops and its worth visiting just to experience the ambience. A hive...More

I had read about Memory Lane as it is known locally but it took a bit of finding. We eventually found it even though it was right under our noses you still had to look hard, but it was worth it and we had some...More

Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and
contains the busiest train station in the world. To

east, there’s a district with long-established
department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku

There is a whole row of these places. Hard to differentiate. They have prices and photo menus outside.

We stood outside a few stalls and waited to be welcomed in. Some places prefer locals and don't speak English so they won't welcome you in. The ones with an English menu will. Just stand outside and see if they ignore you or... More
