This is a well lit area that you can find many restaurants to choose from. It's a short walk from Shinjuku station.

We stayed here in a hotel for 6nights. The area is quite fascinating at night as it is full of clubs and restaurants. Watch out for touts. They are trying to stop them but some are still there. I felt safe walking around the area...More

Read that this place was seedy. Comparatively, to the rest of Japan urban life, maybe. But worldwide, it still lends itself the clean, respectful Japanese culture I've come to expect. I didn't even realize where we were until I looked it up after we walked...More

Lots of restaurants, game centre & 'special' shops here. Very crowded there at night and found out very interesting seeing lots of men standing along the streets with black suits trying to approach girls. Make sure you are not going there alone.

If you like nightlife and lots of restaurants and bars then Kabukicho is the place. Lots of people walking around at night (and during the day) and all looking to have a good time. Not all places appear friendly to foreigners but most are.

Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and
contains the busiest train station in the world. To
the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo
Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the
east, there’s a district with long-established
department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku
Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the
Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for
