Isetan Department Store is a Japanese tradition. It is an attraction in itself. The Shinjuku flagship store is right adjacent to the JR Shinjuku Station, on the east side. The department store and the men's store carry every imaginable name brand clothes, jewelry and electronics....More

The food market in the basement is amazing. You can find all sorts of local specialties and there is even a fresh food market. You can also eat on the roof top floor outside on the 8th floor. Expensive but worth it!

Great outside view but fairly exclusive inside. Does not seem to be made for tourists. The floors for decorative Interpretation are interesting for western people as pretty different from the european/american habits.

This store certainly stands out in the Shinjuku area where some street eateries can be a bit bewildering or hard to get into, as well as being in the "seedier" area of Tokyo. Our experience in the store was more for the great restaurants on...More

Impressive uniformed staff welcome one to a true shopping experience! The basement food floor is nothing short of outstanding! The rest of the store is well laid out, with a wide range of quality goods. Very helpful staff. Highly recommended.
