We saw queues for the Aquarium and decided to try the Planetarium instead. The show we saw was a "Relaxation" one but still fabulous. Once seated with headphones you extend you chair right back to almost lying down to watch the show on the huge...More

This was one of those WTF Japan moments where we strayed into the land of Bambi grazing on an island beneath the canopy of a 7000 year old tree under the stars......and that's about as much as you'll learn about stars other than "they are...More

I wish I could rate this below one. This should not be called planetarium. They are blatantly cheating people by calling it so. During the entire time we were there they were playing songs while lighting up the screen with dotted lights. We took kids...More

Was expecting a show about planets, stars and galaxies. Instead it was a show about dolphins and sunsets better suited to an Imax theatre. There was some showing of the celestial sphere with superimposed zodiac signs. Ironic given that Japan slaughters 100s of dolphins annually...More

This was the weirdest thing I experienced in Japan so far. And not in a good way. Something about dolphins enjoying to swim together.

We expected a lot from the planetarium. But it was more of showcasing the music rather than learning about our universe and its planets. My family and I slept the whole time. Very boring and not educational. I do not recommend this place 😣😑

We chanced upon this when we were in Sunshine City on a rainy day. Bought tickets 20 minutes before the hourly show. The narration was in Japanese (headsets with English translation provided). I think even non-Japanese speakers would enjoy it because the visuals were intuitive,...More

We went here thinking that this planetarium will educate us about planets and such (like the ones i have visited before), but it turns out to be an hour long "movie" about how we should love the earth etc. It is a nice place to...More

I enjoyed the planetarium. Was expecting to see planets but that didn't stop me from enjoying the artistry and cool soundtrack. I almost bought the cd at the end.

Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several
thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores
and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and
