This is a lovely little oasis in the center of one of the busiest districts in Tokyo. If you are lucky you will see the local man who comes here almost every day to feed the sparrows, they come and sit on his hand!

The pond is part of Ueno park, and about a 7 minute walk from the Ueno train station. About half of the pond is covered in giant water lillies, so it looks more like a field than a pond in that section. It is a...More

We went here while the cherry blossoms were blooming and it was gorgeous. It's a great mix of nature, fun with boats, and nearby temples. There are also toilets nearby which is always a plus. We spent hours here.

This is a lovely pond in Ueno park. you can hire a paddle boat and enjoy a little bit of exercise on the water or you can just relax and watch the endless array of water lilies at sunset.

This is a gorgeous pond in Ueno Park, worth strolling around for its five-storied pagoda, temple, and cultural history in Ueno Park. You will walk 2 kilometers to go around the entire pond's three sections. My favorite is the Lotus Pond, enchanting and romantic.

Swan shaped boats. Seagulls will land on your roof. Great way to spend a half hour and work up an appetite! 700 yen for Sean boat.

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
