I visited Tiger Lily Farms in late August 2014 with my husband and children for a trail ride. The staff were very helpful and my children were thrilled to be riding. My children also enjoyed the interaction with the farm animals before and after the trail ride.

Unfortunately on the trail ride we rode past lots of garbage: a huge garbage pile waiting to be burned (according to staff) with scarecrows from last fall still there, pipes to be used for fencing?, plastic bags and tarps that have been there for years and a partially buried under dirt, etc., etc. The trail ride was just for 1/2 hour so it looped back and forth through their property. It's a beautiful piece of property but really needs a big clean-up, especially if you're going to be taking visitors through it every day.

FYI - The outhouse was really stinky and filled with flies, so we chose not to use it because it was that bad. If you're going to Tiger Lily - go to the bathroom somewhere else before you get there!

Still, the staff were great and the farm animals were great. This place would be totally amazing if it was just cleaned up a bit.

We were staying in Parksville looking for something to do for 30 minutes and saw it on TripAdvisor so thought we would pop by. It was very fun for the kids. Expect to spend 1 to 1.5 hours here. Maybe less if your kids don't like to pet farm animals.

The kids got to milk a goat/ feed a baby goat, pet bunnies, goats/ ride a pony. See chickens and collect their eggs, see pigs... so for our city dwelling kids this was a blast!

The staff was very friendly and the place wasn't overly busy so just a very relaxing nice visit! Highly recommended for kids 2-10.

On our second trip to Parksville, we finally were able to visit Tiger Lily Farm in Errington. It was a great experience.

The farm is not that big, but it is just good enough for young children. In spite of its small size, it does have a little bit of everything to provide an interactive and rewarding morning/afternoon for your children.

Interactive activities include: picking your own eggs from chicken that have JUST laid them; milking goats, pony rides, mingling with goats, tending rabbits, making hay for cattle, and so on. For the price of admission, the activities are certainly plenty and fun for the children.

The farm is located about half an hour away from Parksville, so the drive itself is easy. After a morning trip, one can easily drive further up to Coombs to watch the "goats on the roof" and have a hearty lunch there.

We have really enjoyed our visit - watching the smiling children as they excitedly put an egg that is still warm in their hands, or hearing them giggle as they ride on the little ponies... makes it all worthwhile.

Three of us booked an hour long trail ride. The price is quite good but we did the same loop multiple times. We found out that because the forestry roads were closed due to fire bans they have to stick to their own property. Everyone in our party felt the person who booked our ride should have disclosed this information. We expected to get a decent trail ride but were disappointed.
Now the roads are open I will be booking again but just be aware if you are booked during a fire ban be sure to ask about road closures.

We spent 4 hours here today with our 4 young girls and had a blast. What an incredible experience for the children to be able to participate in goat milking, bottle feeding of animals, collecting freshly laid eggs and all the personal encounters with the animals! Very reasonable admission, food is pricey, awesome staff!

We have been going to Tiger Lily Farms for years. My teenage kids still love going there. The owner, Cecil, does a fantastic job in keeping the farm rustic and "farm like" while allowing truly hands on experience for all to enjoy. For a very reasonable admission, you can milk a goat, pick up baby chicks, frolic with the goats, pet baby calves and sheep, collect eggs from the hen's nests, check out the piglets plus more and go for a guided pony ride (which is also included with admission).. For older kids and adults, there is trail riding. Our favourite is the 1 1/2 hour ride where we enjoy beautiful treed scenery and varied winding trails. The trail riding guides, like Michelle, are fantastic and the horses are very well looked after. I would highly recommend you check it out.

I visited the hobby farm with my grandkids. We had a wonderful day visiting all the animals. There were kittens and baby chicks the children could cuddle.
We stayed for a few hours and had a picnic lunch there.
The children enjoyed the pony rides as well. Staff were super friendly helping feed and milk a goat.

My son was first to raise the hand when the farmer girl ask who wants to try it first - kids get to milk the goat one by one! Waw, what a experience for city kids. They have a lot of animals you can pet. The farm was very clean; well, for a farm. There is a outdoor washroom and sink/soap so you can wash your hand. And offcours the pony ride is very popular with the little ones.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time petting all the animals. We spent around an hour there. We had a pony ride, goat milking and egg collecting to do. We had such a good time we (the grown ups) returned in the afternoon to go horse riding.
I would suggest being there first thing because they do get busy and they seem to stay busy all day.

Found it was quite pricey just to see a small handful of farm animal varieties. It is specifically geared towards younger children and therefore, parents shouldn't have to pay as much since all they do is stand and watch their kids run around.
